A NEW LIFE

And at the end of the Sabbath, when the first day of the week had already begun, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb.
2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake, because an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, and removed the stone from the gate, and sat upon it.
3 And his appearance was like lightning, and his garments white as snow.
4 And the guards were afraid, and were astonished, and as dead.
5 But the angel answered and said to the women, Do not be afraid; for I know that you are seeking Jesus, who was crucified.
6 He is not here, for he is risen again, as he had said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7 Go therefore immediately, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead. And behold, he goes before you into Galilee; there you will see him. Behold, I have told you.
8 And they hurried out of the sepulcher with fear and great joy, and ran to proclaim him to his disciples.
9 And as they went about to give the news to their disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, I salute you. And they came and embraced his feet, and worshiped him.
10 Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid; go tell my brethren to go into Galilee, and there they shall see me.
11 And when they were coming, behold, some of the guard came to the city, and told the princes of the priests all that had happened.
12 And when they were gathered together with the elders, and took counsel among themselves, they gave much money to the soldiers,
Saying, Say, Your disciples came by night, and asleep we slew him.
14 And if this be heard by the President, we will persuade him and bring you safely.
15 And they, having received the money, did as they were instructed. And this saying was spread among the Jews unto this day.
16 And the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them.
17 And when they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost;
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, behold, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen
